We strive to work smarter not longer and offer a flexible work schedule.Job DescriptionImaginary Spaces is looking for an experienced C++ Application Developer to work within our team to develop and deploy a professional application for use within media productions.Your Responsibilities Will IncludeImplementing software applications driven by our clients’ needs.Coding in C#, C++ and Python.Ability to work in a small team or on some occasions alone on short-term projects.Mentoring junior team members and providing proactive guidanceWorking with alongside with Product managers, Product owners, Designers, Artists and other Developers to plan and execute in an agile development environment.Reviewing other Developers’ code and testing the features they have implemented.Producing demos, videos, and documentation to explain the features implemented.

QualificationsWhat You Bring To Imaginary SpacesUndergraduate bachelor’s degree in computer science or in another discipline with a significant programming component.3-5 years of work experience in professional application developmentProgramming knowledge in C, C++, C# and Python.

A passion for asking questions and a pride in technical excellenceStrong proven verbal communication skills: ability to work with external users and in understanding, setting expectations, refining and implementing their requirements.Ability to challenge ideas and propose alternatives effectively.Resident and permission to work in Canada; citizenship, permanent residence or work permitAvailable to work in Montreal but can start remotelyExtra PointsProgramming knowledge and familiarity with a variety of other languages.Prior experience with Unity or Unreal Engine.

Commercial Software Development experience.Development experience on Windows and *nix (macOS or Linux).Knowledge of DCCs (Maya, 3DS Max or Blender)Additional InformationThis opportunity is for a full-time, permanent position in Montreal, Canada.
