GPS Systems Engineer – Modeling and Simulation Minimum $50K Sign On Bonus

Job Description : Whether aloft in the skies aboard a fighter jet protecting the skies or an airborne surveillance platform monitoring developments on the ground, Our Secure Sensor Solutions mission area is responsible for providing advanced capabilities for multiple types of tactical aircraft and other platforms.

We provide the most advanced systems to navigate in challenging areas, and identify and discriminate friendly and foe objects.

Part of Raytheon Technologies Intelligence and Space business, S3 provides capabilities that enable critical tasksfrom target identification, aircraft navigation, and target engagement.

With our systems, warfighters know where they are going and what they are going to do when they get there.

The Resilient Navigation Systems product line is responsible for providing U.S.

and coalition forces with accurate GPS navigation capability to successfully achieve their missions—free of disruption and jamming.

GNS solutions equip manned aircraft, unmanned systems, precision weapons, and ground systems specializing.

These products include anti-jam systems, integrated GPS/INS navigators, high performance Selective Availability Anti-Spoof Module (SAASM) receivers, and Military Code (M-Code) receivers.

Guiding the mission The successful candidate will be experienced at developing and modifying GPS satellite, GPS receiver (system and subsystem), and environment models and simulations.

The candidate should also be capable of leading system development efforts necessary to propose, implement, verify, and deliver systems with complex embedded real time processing.

Responsibilities include: Design, requirements allocation, analysis, and verification of the algorithms and simulations of military Global Positioning System (GPS) and Position Navigation Timing (PNT) user-equipment products.

The Engineer will work closely with program, engineering, and business development management during all phases of program development and must be effective at communicating and building trust with senior management and customers.

The successful candidate must be a proven and effective leader driving technical integrity in the engineering team’s products and behaviors, while ensuring program execution to plan.

Required Skills: Minimum 8 years of experience in one or more of the following technical domains: RF/IR signal processing, electronics, navigation (GPS or Inertial), missile autopilots, modeling and simulation (for example 6-DOF), aerodynamics, missile related mechanical engineering (flight control systems, warheads, missile structures, seeker gimbals, RF/IR seeker sub-systems) Systems engineering experience with exposure in one or more of the following domains: Requirements analysis and development; system performance analysis; integration and verification; and subsystem or system architecture development
• Modeling and Simulation experience in Matlab and Simulink Past work experience interacting with multidisciplinary teams of system design professionals including electrical, mechanical, software and logistics engineers Must be a U.S.

Citizen able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance within 1 year of start date; Active Secret Clearance preferred Desired Skills: Experience with model-based systems engineering Ability to analyze issues and define solutions Ability to perform trade studies to optimize system performance Understanding of Systems Engineering Product Development Cycle Strong communication and leadership skills including effective written, verbal, and listening skills Required Education: Bachelor of Science degree in a related STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) Desired Education: Advanced degrees in a related STEM discipline This position requires either a U.S.
