Financial Analyst Job Location: Thunderbay, Canada Job Grade: 103 Purpose The Financial Analyst is a member of the Musselwhite Finance team.

Reporting directly to the Site Business Manager, you will play a key role in supporting various activities of the team including financial analysis, financial and government reporting, and business planning.

Specific tasks include supporting the monthly departmental cost and capital review, monthly and annual government statistical and tax reporting, providing investment analysis support to operating departments, and assisting the Senior Financial Analysts with accrual analysis, SOX requirements, statistical input, and business planning/forecasting support.

You will promote Newmont values and ensure compliance and enforcement of its rules and business principles.

Essential Duties
•Assist Senior Business Analysts with the preparation of monthly cost review package
•Assist operating departments to analyze and review costs
•Assist Senior Business Analysts in the forecasting and business planning process
•Develop and maintain costs analysis reports and generate data to support financial analysis
•Complete monthly and annual government statistical reporting
•Complete monthly tax reporting
•Support the investment review process with various analytical tools
•Support Senior Business Analyst in SOX reporting and control requirements
•Respect, know and promote company regulations and policies, particularly regarding health and safety
•All other related tasks Training & Experience
•University degree or College Diploma in Accounting or Business administration
•Minimum of 2 years of professional experience
•Strong Excel user and exposure to integrated software system (SAP is an asset)
•Ability to analyze and solve problems
•Strong communications skills
•Teamwork in a collaborative environment
