What can you expect in this role?

Economical Insurance is seeking an ESG Reporting Manager to support the development and implementation of an ESG strategy for the Company.

You be part of a new ESG team that will realign and augment existing social responsibility programs, sustainability initiatives, and corporate governance practices into a comprehensive ESG program.

With your demonstrated passion and belief in ESG, you will help guide business and functional leaders to reach our sustainability goals and commitments.

Strategy Development Build and maintain a central repository for sustainability content, research, policies, position and action plans Identify emerging sustainability trends by considering market opportunities, investor expectations and other stakeholder requirement Provide subject matter expertise and support on ESG matters across the Company Reporting & Disclosure Create and publish sustainability reports that highlight our progress and performance against approved sustainability goals and commitments Responsible for annual reporting to SASB, TCFD, SDGs, and GRI, and monitor the development of other disclosures that may be relevant Support the development and alignment of sustainability critical metrics that will be tracked; and engage with businesses to measure and report on these metrics Lead research to routinely benchmark Economical Insurance relative to our industry competitors on sustainability performance Communication & Engagement Support ongoing stakeholder engagement and materiality assessments Work with functional and business leaders to identify, develop and implement opportunities to engage stakeholders in sustainability efforts Work with Communications and Investor Relations to support the development and amplification of our Sustainability story.

What do you bring to this role?

Atleast 3
– 5 years of professional experience in sustainability (or similar area) in the financial services industry or at a publicly listed company An undergraduate degree in business administration, sustainability, environmental sciences or other relevant programs.

Knowledge of sustainability reporting and assurance frameworks (e.g., SASB, TCFD, SDGs, GRI, IIRC, MCSI, CDP, etc.) Experience in assessing climate change-related risks and opportunities Knowledge of Canadian and global sustainability reporting and investing trends, regulatory developments, new standards and initiatives Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint Passion for sustainability and social responsibility, and this is reflected in your work experience Ability to translate complex messages and recommendations into concise proposals, reports and presentations High degree of personal ethics, integrity and responsibility with an ability to deal with sensitive issues and safeguard confidential information Excellent verbal and written communication skills Team player who is adaptable to a changing environment Go ahead and expect a lot
