This is a Full-time position in New Westminster, BC posted April 16, 2019.

IntroductionEASi, established in 1981, an engineering consulting company, with offices in Canada, United States and India has an opening for Embedded Software Engineer (level I) based out of EASi’s New Westminster office.The selected candidate will be considered a key member out of fast-growing team and will have direct input into both the pursuit and execution of current and existing projects.

They will be working with technical and project leadership ensure the successful delivery of project requirements.

The role would be reporting to the Solutions Manager and would be partnering with local and at times overseas technical teams on projects.

They will work closely with Sr.

Embedded Software Engineers, Controls Engineers, Business Development Managers and Project Delivery Management to gather business, functional, and performance requirements and will be assisting in translating them into software requirements.

EASi is looking for candidates to demonstrate a strong technical aptitude, excellent attitude, ability to learn, excellent soft skills and career drive.

Job DescriptionDesign and develop embedded software in C or C++Develop and execute unit, integration and system test casesCreate Low Level Design Documentation including documenting in codeSupport and debug test cases on hardware platformsAssist with requirement gathering and requirement analyses Assist with translating customer requirements into the software requirement documentationMinimum QualificationsBachelors and/or Masters in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with 0-3 years of hands-on experience in development of software for embedded systems in C or C++Strong experience developing with embedded CFamiliar with the SDLCFamiliar with Agile Scrum development methodologiesAwareness of quality process standardsGood oral and written communication skills with the ability to professionally support periodic communication to management and technical teams is requiredConsidered an AssetExperience with CAN communication is a plusExperience with closed loop control is a plusExperience in creating requirement-based test cases is a plusExperience with common 32-bit microcontroller architecture is a plusExperience using common off-the-shelf RTOS and static analysis tools is a plusAmazing begins here.
