Electrical Motor Repairer & Tester

Magneto Electric Service Co. Ltd.

This is a Contract position in Concord, ON posted June 9, 2021.

To ensure all electrical testing results conform to applicable electrical standard per CSA, EASA or customer requirements.

Able to schedule work tasks in accordance to company database customer schedule date requirement.

Review all incoming testing results, review all details to ensure accuracy and details are conforming to customer and company expectations.

Review all outgoing testing results to ensure all repaired equipment conform to customer, EASA and company requirements.

Ability to provide test reports to ensure compliance to quality program.

Knowledge of repair of AC/DC motors, Transformers; Shafts; Rotors; Industrial servo motors; Generators; 4000V motors; Coils; Bearings; Armatures.

Ability to disassemble, accurately identification of parts, identification the exact location or condition of interaction of various parts, re-assembly of repair equipment if required.

Perform on-site servicing and repair if required; Assist in troubleshoot and repair electric motors, transformers, generators and other electro-mechanical equipment; Able to follow basic work instructions and ensure all processes are verified.

Must have negative COVID test results or first COVID shot completed.

Past experience in equipment testing capacity in a repair facility.

Security and Safety clearance.

Driver’s validity license is a must.

Must have own tools/equipment.

Must be punctual and exceptional detail oriented.

Knowledge of electric machines, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

Basic electric machinery, winding knowledge, assembly experience.

Knowledge of basic arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and their applications.

High school diploma or equivalent technical training.

At least 3 years’ experience interpreting basic mechanical drawings.
