Take your ambitions to the next level

  • Assist in the design, architecting, and implementation of major infrastructure design and development projects that require the application of new technologies and concepts;
  • Interface with business stakeholders on complex projects;
  • Evaluate current and emerging infrastructure technology, conduct research, recommend and participate in implementing innovative infrastructure technology that can enhance the reliability, security, productivity, and efficiency of the IT infrastructure;
  • Serve as a working manager on projects, providing technical leadership to lower-level staff. Lead project activities, including assigning and ensuring the completion of tasks, determining project schedule (deadlines and budget) and resolving project issues. This includes coordinating efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan;
  • Work independently with minimal supervision;
  • Provide tier 2 and tier 3 support for information systems and platforms;
  • Develop, author and implement:
    • policies and procedures for the management and maintenance of the IT infrastructure;
    • policies, procedures, and best practices for the development and maintenance of the software applications and systems.
  • Participate in system interconnect administration and development activities;
  • Advance best practices with the IT team through participation in architecture, technical design and code reviews;
  • Develop solutions for continuously monitoring and improving our system uptime;
  • Develop and support configuration management and automation systems;
  • Design, manage, and maintain tools to automate repetitive operational processes;
  • Develop and document infrastructure standards;
  • Respond to and resolve production issues;
  • Work closely with developers during the deployment and testing phases to provide insight into operational, security, and performance considerations;
  • Compare existing systems to accepted industry standards;
  • Advocate and implement industry best practices for configuration management, build and deployment automation, and operational monitoring and analysis.

Does this sound like you?

  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in Network Operations, Network Infrastructure, Windows Servers, Systems Administration, Data Center Planning and Management, IT Operations Support;

  • Experience with Active Directory design and management;

  • Experience with management and administration of:

    • Windows Server (2012+);

    • MS SQL Server (2008R2+);

    • VMware 6.x;

    • Azure;

    • Office365.

  • Proficient in PowerShell scripting;

  • Experience in network operations, network infrastructure, Windows servers, systems administration, data center planning and management, IT operations support;
  • Broad knowledge of infrastructure systems development;
  • Extensive experience in exercising independent judgment, creativity, leadership and decision making;
  • Thrives in a problem-solving environment and actively seeks out and supports collaborative thinking and problem solving with others in the organization;
  • Strong problem-solving, innovation, collaboration, analysis and inductive reasoning skills;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, ability to adjust personal style to different user groups;
  • Ability to:
    • apply analytical thinking skills to diagnose and make recommendations on systems;
    • execute research projects and generate practical results and recommendations.
  • Preferred Certifications: MCP or MCSA in Windows Server, MS SQL (Database MCSA), Azure. ITIL;

  • Bilingualism (English/French) is preferred, but at a minimum fluency in English is required. Level expected:
    • English: 4/4
    • French: 3/4
