Deployment Automation Developer – (DevOps / Scripting / Openshift / Ansible)

The Deployment Automation Developer is responsible for the following: Key Accountabilities Develop and maintain playbook, scripts, templates to automate deployments, configuration management, provisioning, and other recurring tasks Integrate new tools/technologies into the Continuous Delivery engineering toolchain to enhance the capabilities of the deployment pipeline Incorporate security in all aspects of tooling, automation, and integration Teach teams on deployment tools, framework, and best practices Collaborate with other Engineering team on ways to improve automation pipeline, onboarding process, advocate value of DevOps practices Provide technical assistance to Development, Engineering, and ITOps teams on project implementation or escalated issues Assist in resolving issues related to deployment tools and automation Provide after hours support to resolve issues or participate in tools maintenance activities and project roll-outs Research and advise on ways to optimize the functionality and reliability of supported tools and technologies Contribute to the creation and maintenance of design documents, operating procedures, knowledge base, and technical documents Help develop ways to measure and collect metrics to monitor effectiveness of automated deployment Plan and participate in the evaluation of new tools, upgrade, testing, and migration of existing tools Acts as a liaison with the 3rd party vendors for product evaluation, issue escalation Qualification 4 years related work experience in an IT environment or a university degree/college diploma in Computer Science Understanding of SDLC concepts Knowledge of DevOps concepts and best practices Experience with DevOps tools and technologies such as JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, Bitbucket, Artifactory, Ansible, Openshift, or equivalent Background in Linux/Windows administration Experience in scripting language Bash, Powershell, Python, etc.
