The IT Delivery Management team for Wealth Management and Brokerage Operations is seeking a data engineer to influence the sector’s decisions and strategic orientations by providing expertise to ensure optimum positioning.

Responsibilities
- Actively work on data preparation from ingestion to exploitation
- Ensure the quality and integrity of data used
- Work with other stakeholders with different mandates and varied expertise (technology, data science, artificial intelligence)
- Carry out specific analyses and present the results clearly and concisely
- Use and explore large volumes of data to meet various business needs
- Explain and communicate complex information
Target profile
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 5 years of relevant experience or master’s degree in a related field and at least 3 years of relevant experience
- Expertise in data ingestion and processing for valorization purposes
- Experience using data pipelines and automating applications/services of big data platforms using Python, Spark, Kafka and SQL, and automating them through development and operating processes and tools (DevOps)
- Sound knowledge of Python
- Experience with Snowflake, a considerable asset
- Knowledge of PowerBI or data visualization tools
- Experience with Jira and Bitbucket, an asset
- Proactive and diligent
- Good communication skills and ability to influence
- Experience working in agile mode (Scrum, Kanban, Peer review, etc.), an asset
- Bilingualism, spoken and written (English and French)
