What will your typical day look like?

The Global Audit & Assurance Learning (GAAL) team has responsibility for design, development, deployment, and monitoring and measuring of learning and development solutions to the Audit & Assurance services. The Learner Experience Manager will play a key role in Learning Modernization, one of GAAL’s top strategic priorities, to create learning experiences that are skills-focused, personalized, and embedded in the flow of work. Drawing on design thinking, this role will drive the exploration of the learner experience to support the performance and growth of all Deloitte Audit & Assurance professionals. The position is a permanent role.

The position does not require relocation and provides the opportunity to work overseas travel may be required. In addition, the global nature of the team and our stakeholders may require participation in calls outside of standard working hours.

Responsibilities

  • Develops well-crafted research plans to inspire human-centered learning design, providing actionable and meaningful data-driven insights into the experiences of diverse learners
  • Conducts research into the learner experience using established qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Presents insights using varied deliverables that are appropriate for diverse stakeholders
  • Monitors the learner experience of the various learner types (e.g., experienced, new, etc.), identifies trends, themes, and continuous improvement opportunities
  • Collaborates with curriculum development and innovation team members to convey learner needs and ensure learning solutions are relevant and easy to use
  • Provides input into the Learning Modernization strategy and helps develop the desired end-to-end experience for learners that is skills-focused, personalized, and embedded in the flow of work
  • Executes other strategic initiatives in collaboration with GAAL leadership, senior Audit & Assurance leaders, and cross-functional talent stakeholders
  • Coordinates and collaborates with the learning portfolios to understand their content design needs and how to enable the desired end-to-end learner experience
  • Drives adoption of design thinking and human-centered design practices to build learning capabilities throughout the GAAL team
  • Collaborates outside of GAAL with Talent, Quality, Global Learning, Transformation and Change, and with other supporting functions, offering perspective into the learner’s experience

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

You are someone with:

  • Bachelor’s or other advanced degree in the behavioral sciences, instructional design, education, or related fields
  • 3 + years of related work experience in Learning & Development, preferably within professional services
  • Working within a virtual team environment and experience of working with different cultures
  • Mastery of user experience (UX) research methods, both qualitative and quantitative
  • Advanced ability to apply design thinking principles and methodologies
  • Advanced ability to turn data into business insights using data visualization and reporting tools
  • Knowledge of human-computer interaction and user-interface (UI) design
  • Familiarity with processes and tools for capturing, organizing, and using individual and organizational intellectual assets, such as competencies, best practices, etc.
