Our Equipment Finance Group is a team of specialized individuals who know heavy equipment industries inside and out.

Our Credit Analysts utilize proven skills in credit writing, financial statement analysis, loan structuring, risk management and communications to provide exceptional service and responsiveness within EFG’s key business line functions of credit underwriting, loan applications, recurring credit review processes and administration.

Credit Analysts play an important role in delivering effective risk-based loan pricing and profitability management.

These credit gurus act as functional subject matter experts proving mentorship and guidance to junior credit staff
– enhancing the development of EFG’s credit capabilities.

Our Equipment Finance team is a place for you to have some fun, let the good ideas flow and put that creative brain to good use Come check out this opportunity to work with a CWB Financial Group business line with aspirations to be the best equipment finance team in Canada This role has the flexibility to be based in either Kelowna, Calgary or the Greater Toronto Area What we need from you: Financial and marketing knowledge of local markets and national economies built on a foundation of formal education (business degree) and real life experience (3 years of financial services experience in risk management, banking or business lending
– preferably in equipment financing and leasing).

Letters behind your name
– CFA, CPA, CGA, CMA, or CA.

If you don’t have them, you are either on the path to get them or have the willingness to obtain them
– and that will set you apart.

Exceptional credit adjudication experience supported by honed skills in financial statement analysis and deep knowledge base of effective risk mitigation strategies for credit underwriting Knowledge of collateral security and leasing documentation requirements/regulations Experienced business modeling skills Advanced skills Microsoft Office
– especially Excel, working knowledge of Temenos/T24 and WAVE is an asset Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills capable of influencing and collaborating to work effectively with people across business units and corporate office departments Strong written and oral communications skills with ability to clearly articulate Proven facilitation and conflict management skills Strong organizational skills for handling multiple tasks simultaneously , thriving with grace and humour under pressure Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality A positive attitude with curiosity and drive that constantly seeks new opportunities and thrives in an environment of significant change A highly motivated team player who values the attributes of integrity, respect, accountability, common-sense and caring Results-oriented, collaborative and respectful of the capabilities and contributions of all CWB team members How you will spend your time: Build close working relationships with EFG Sales and Operations and Risk Management teams to analyze, structure, write and process credit applications, reviews and approvals in a timely manner consistent with established business line service agreements Analyze and discuss terms and conditions of credit applications and related matters with Sales Relationship Managers and Credit Risk Management, as required; Ensure risk-taking is within acceptable parameters of CWB’s lending practices, policies and procedures Recommend appropriate credit structures and assist with analysis and writing of complex credit applications and reviews Approve credit applications (new, renewal and reportable) within a delegated credit limit, as applicable; Prepare recommendations for approval, restructuring, or deferral of credit applications; Assist with account and portfolio assessments to help identify and mitigate potential impacts of negative performance trends Accountable to ensure compliance with various first-line risk management functions, workflows and policies of the EFG business line, including requirements for loan management, data integrity, portfolio quality, exposure limits and fulfillment of loan security and approval requirements Support EFG Regional Sales Managers and CWB Branch Managers with requirements to maintain satisfactory internal audit reports Ensure adherence to the Bank’s credit administration and security policies and procedures; Ensure all assigned month end and other reports are accurate and complete, as applicable; Ensure required reports and financial data are received and analyzed promptly in accordance with loan commitments.

Assist with management and/or administration of high risk and/or watch accounts, as applicable Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality of all customer information in accordance with internal policies and procedures, and federal rules and regulations.
