Then we want you on our team We are currently seeking a highly motivated Cloud Engineer within our Infrastructure Hosting and Networks team.

In this role, you will collaborate with technology peers and business partners to build and deploy the foundation for the next generation of modern cloud-native software applications and services for Thomson Reuters.

As part of the Infrastructure Hosting and Networks organization, you will be part of a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, energetic, and high-performing team at the heart of the Thomson Reuters transformation to developing cloud-native applications and services focusing on Microsoft Azure and cloud landing zone services.

This group is nimble and creative and will shape our technology roadmap.

This role will be instrumental to enable the current and future world of cloud computing at Thomson Reuters.

You will be challenged with identifying innovative ideas and proof of concepts to deliver against the existing and future needs of our customers.

About the Role In this opportunity as a Cloud Engineer , you will: Develop and refine: solutions and services for Cloud Landing zones while working with public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, and GCP) and their landing zone services, tools, and solution, build PaaS (Platform as a Service) or IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) solutions, work with Discrete microservices with the simple repeatable cloud-native architectural pattern and distributed data stores such as S3, DynamoDB, RDS, Azure Storage, CosmosDB, Azure SQL, and Redis cache and serverless architecture such as AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, Container technologies such as Docker, AWS ECS, Azure Kubernetes Service, Perform Cloud Monitoring such as Azure Monitor and DataDog, Provide operations support including resource provisioning, deployments, troubleshooting, monitoring, alerting, configuration management, access management, and continually improving the standards for these activities Be a Team Player: work with high-performance CloudOps team and participate with peers in the 24/7 rotation to provide service/infrastructure support and troubleshooting assistance Be a Problem-solver: Handle change and incident for CloudOps team using ServiceNow ticketing tool Be an Agile Person: with a strong sense of urgency and a desire to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment, you will deliver solutions against strict timelines Be Innovative: Keep up to date with emerging cloud technology trends
– open source and cloud vendors such as AWS, AZURE & Google Be an Effective Communicator: Communicate effectively to ensure accuracy of work (including creating and updating team documentation), requirements are met, and expectations are set Take ownership: Apply principles of trust, transparency, accountability, and ownership About You You’re a fit for the role of Cloud Engineer if you have: 2 years experience with Cloud Landing zones
– AWS, Azure, or GCP Experience building cloud-native applications and services on AWS, Azure, or Google cloud platforms following cloud-native architecture methodologies running in public cloud Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Unix, or Shell Experience working in Windows, Unix, or Linux environments Experience working with open source tools and DevOps automation tools such as GitHub Knowledge of security best practices for cloud Bachelor’s degree in related technology program preferred What’s in it For You At Thomson Reuters, our people are our greatest assets.
