Cloud Developer

This is a Contract position in Toronto, ON posted August 13, 2019.

Clearpool’s Algorithmic Management System (AMS) is transforming electronic trading with a fully customizable suite of algorithmic trading tools, offering total visibility and control from strategy to execution.

We’re passionate about working together to make the markets more transparent and helping our clients effectively source liquidity and achieve best ex.

The development team is responsible for gathering requirements, designing and implementing features bug fixes, and unit testing code.

A member of this team will get exposure to Clearpool’s AMS and algo framework.

Responsibilities of the role: We are building out our cloud presence in AWS for our AMS platform.

As a hands on developer and thought leader on our infrastructure development team, you will be involved in designing, architecting, and implementing our cloud integration solutions.

You will help guide our cloud SDLC, allowing us to continue our high standard of quality and testing for our existing on-premise systems.

You are willing to contribute ideas and collaborate with other developers.

You’re also able to execute on ideas and turn them into production-ready code.

We leverage several AWS technologies including SQS, IAM, SecretsManager, Aurora, and S3; as well as Docker.

We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running with these technologies.

Required Qualifications 4-6 years of professional software development experience 2 years experience developing with cloud technologies Excellent communications skills both written and verbal, planning and organizational skills Good interpersonal skills A Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering Preferred Skills Software development using Java Experience with relational databases Experience with columnar databases Experience in financial services Experience with electronic trading systems Experience with Java multi-threading and stream processing You love technology.
