CENGN is looking to hire Cloud Networking Engineers Do you have current or previous experience working as a Site Reliability Engineer or in Networking?

Do you have practical hands on experience in: A public Cloud Environment Openstack, Docker and/or Kubernetes?

Computer Networking,System Administration and Automation?

Working with IP, BGP, MPLS, and/or Segment Routing based networks?

Automating, configuring, and working with networking devicesfrom various vendors including Cisco, Juniper, Nokiaand whitebox equipment?

We are seekinghighly skilled and motivated individuals to join CENGN’s Customer Solutions Engineering team.

The CSE team is responsible for designing, deploying, and supporting complex infrastructure in support of our client’s testing projects.

We also provide advice and assistance to our clients on the latest networking and cloud technologies.

Projects at CENGN range from proof of concepts, to technology validations, to complex scaling tests, each involving an exciting mix of hardware and software technologies.

Our domain expertise spans data centre grade hardware, software-defined networking, virtualization and containerization, container orchestration, network function virtualization, security, and beyond.

Key Responsibilities: CSEs design, deploy, manage and support complex networking and compute environments for our clients, and advise them as they execute their testing projects at CENGN.

The CNE role is multi-faceted.

On any given day, the CNE may hold responsibility to: Work directly with a new client to deeply understand their problems and goals, and then, in consideration of CENGN’s platform capabilities, advise the client on the design of a project that best meets those goals.

Translate the high-level project design, architecture and requirements into a precise specification of the hardware and software technologies and network architecture required for the project.

Deploy the environments that they have designed for the project.

This can include configuration of: bare metal servers, switches, VLANs, operating systems, virtualization environments, containerization environments, traffic generators, performance monitors, etc.

Provide hands-on technical support and best-practices advice to the client while they undertake their project.

Develop and execute test plans in cases where our clients have retained us to do so.

Engage in on-going skill development Key Competencies/Qualifications: Candidates must have: Expertise in UNIX/LINUX operating systems: RedHat, CentOS, Canonical Ubuntu, FreeBSD and other open source distributions Expertise with IP, BGP, MPLS, and/or Segment Routing based networks Experience with automating, configuring, and working with networking devices from various vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Nokia or whitebox equipment Experience with virtualization technologies: KVM, VMWare or others Experience in system design and operations of highly available and distributed systems using containerization Experience in automation tools for modern application deployments (Docker, Kubernetes, infra as-code, REST APIs) Experience in one or more of the following automation tools or languages: Python, Go, Terraform, Ansible Preferred Qualifications Experience with virtualization management platforms like OpenStack or others Experience with traffic and load generation tools such as jMeter, Locust, TRex, IXIA or others Experience with load balancers, reverse proxies, and web servers such as HAProxy, NGINX, Apache, Traefik, or others Experience with virtualized network functions such as firewalls (commercial or open source) Experience in system design and operations in public cloud environments (AWS, Azure or GCP)[RM1] Experience working directly with clients Education: University degree or college diploma in Engineering, Computer Science, or Networking, or equivalent experience.

Work Experience: At CENGN, we prioritize skills over years of experience.

The range of skill depth we are seeking in the above technologies would usually be attained as a result of 2 to 7 years of relevant experience.
