Business Systems Associate

Adecco is seeking a proficient and motivated Business Systems Associate for a full-time position with our client based in Toronto, ON.

Position Overview:
As a Business Systems Associate, you will be a vital link between different stakeholders within the organization. Your primary responsibility will be to gather, analyze, and communicate requirements, ensuring alignment between business needs, IT solutions, and third-party vendors. You will play a key role in driving system solutions and process enhancements to meet the operational needs of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply a wide range of elicitation techniques to facilitate the gathering and documentation of requirements.

  • Verify, prioritize, and document precise requirements for system enhancements and new development projects.

  • Foster close collaboration with business users and IT project teams, including project management and development personnel.

  • Generate comprehensive documentation, encompassing process diagrams, workflows, use cases, and both functional and non-functional requirements.

  • Function as the primary technical contact point for business users concerning system functions and features.

  • Offer guidance on system capabilities and configuration.

  • Engage with vendors to address system defects and respond to enhancement requests.

  • Assist in the coordination of testing for new solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements by working closely with development team members.

  • Act as the primary liaison for business users during user acceptance testing.

  • Collaborate alongside business users and developers to identify data mapping requirements and initiatives for data management.

  • Verify the precision and completeness of data requirements.

  • Participate in the investigation and resolution of data integrity issues, such as identifying missing or inconsistent data.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of related experience in business systems analysis or 2+ years of related experience in business system operation, such as Loan Origination/Servicing Systems.

  • Preferred experience with contemporary systems analysis principles, methods, procedures, practices, tools, and techniques.

  • Previous experience working directly with vendors to customize and enhance purchased software is a plus.

  • Prior exposure to the automotive finance industry or consumer finance industry is preferred.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study.

  • Proficient in eliciting, analyzing, documenting, and communicating functional and non-functional requirements for business systems.

  • Exceptional communication skills, especially the ability to convey system and technical concepts to individuals with limited technical knowledge.

  • Quick comprehension of business processes and the ability to identify process improvements.

  • Strong research, analytical, organizational, and time management skills.

  • Detail-oriented, maintaining high levels of quality and productivity.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in the MS Office suite, data analysis tools, SQL, and relational databases.
