If so, check out our open positions.Here we grow again… We’re currently looking for a Core Developer to join our team in Montreal.The senior core developer is responsible for creating and maintaining features on Broadsign’s core product: Control.

The senior software developer also partakes in inter-departmental collaboration.

A successful senior software developer at Broadsign is autonomous, challenges the status quo, takes initiative, and works well with others.

This self-directed individual will excel in a collaborative agile environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIESIdentify, prioritize and execute tasks in the software development life cycleDevelop software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle.Own the back-end software design and architecture.Improve operations by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes inpolicies and procedures.Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.Analyze, review, develop and debug codePotentially mentor and guide junior developers/internsIntegrate the database with the company websiteRequired Education & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related disciplineMinimum 5+ years experience as a software developer (mostly using C++)Required Skills & QualificationsAbility to write original code and modify existing codeAbility to debug problems and write maintainable codeStrong communication and interpersonal skillsA strong work ethic, and highly collaborative, success-oriented attitudeIntellectual and analytical mind for solving complex problemsExperience with Qt, SQL, or at least one desktop UI toolkitFamiliarity with various operating systemsAbility to work independently
