What will your typical day look like?
No two days are the same within this group, but some of the key duties and responsibilities of this role will include proactive relationship management across the firm, our cloud alliance teams and partners, identifying growth opportunities and client needs, participating in key pursuits and driving the growth of our Azure practice. You will be the bridge that brings together client needs, value-added services within the firm and Azure delivery/transformation. Managing opportunities, sales pipeline, strategic plans and win-win alignment will be core to your approach.
You will partner with the technical leads of our Azure Infrastructure, DevOps and Application Development capabilities as they focus on technical solution design and delivery to our clients. You will join our Azure Community of Practice (CoP) as a leader and directly contribute to the development and growth of our Azure talent pool. Coaching is a big focus within Deloitte and you’ll have the chance to directly mentor up-and-coming Azure experts in our practice through formal and informal engagements.
About the team
The focus and passion of Deloitte’s Cloud Engineering practice is to help our clients dramatically accelerate the speed at which they deliver value. We are a specialized capability within Deloitte’s technology consulting practice in Canada, focused on the technical, organizational, and cultural elements that must be considered when helping our clients embrace a Cloud-first mindset. Our clients span across various industries including financial services, energy and resources, consumer and retail business, digital-native, and public sector.
Enough about us, let’s talk about you
Core Skills:
15+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience, with a proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior business and technology leaders up to and including CxO
5+ years of experience managing multiple, large-scale Azure projects with a team of 10+ people. You have led high performing, results driven teams with a focus on client satisfaction
Project experience spanning cloud migration (including moving COTS workloads), application modernization and refactoring, re-engineering complex enterprise applications from legacy platforms to Azure and foundational work such as cloud landing zone, monitoring and policy deployment
You have a good understanding of key cloud concepts, modern applications and common architectural patterns used to solve problems in cloud based workloads
You have broad knowledge across Azure’s capabilities and related offerings from Microsoft
4-6 years or more experience in either cloud services, technology delivery or risk management
Min 1-2 years in alliances, partner or other technology partnership role
Hands on experience managing relationships and cross industry partnerships including pipeline management, opportunity reviews, annual plan development
Being a self-starter and able to work independently including across multiple priorities and complex matrixed roles and responsibilities
Enthusiastic to improve process and adaptable to change
Being confident, tactful and able to effectively influence others, including senior leaders
Exceptional consulting, critical thinking, presentation and analytical skills
Strong communicator, including listening skills with an ability to translate insights across business and technology teams and to develop and present new ideas and conceptualize new approaches and solutions
Strong team and work ethic, comfortable with ambiguity, change and challenge
Ability to travel up to 20%
Good to have:
Consulting or other client-facing experience is preferred
One or more Azure certifications at the associate level (Developer, Administrator, DevOps Engineer, Security Engineer)
Experience with Agile methods and work management
