Polycon moulds, paints, assembles and sequences automotive products to OEM’s (Original Equipment Manufacturers).

Job Introduction Job Profile: The Automation Technician is responsible for implementing, troubleshooting and maintaining all automation equipment including, robotics and controls programming of the various Paint and Assembly equipment and processes.

Ensures preventative maintenance is kept up.

Makes all necessary repairs quickly and independently.PAY RATE: $39.78/Hr (after probationary period)Video Link
– http://bit.do/polycon Major Responsibilities -Maintain safety as a top priority in all duties-PLC, Robot & HMI programming, implementation and troubleshooting-Troubleshooting and maintaining moulding application equipment and all supporting processes Preventative maintenance of robotic and process support equipment-Maintenance of the PLC and robot process systems-Design, verify and maintain electrical schematics-Assist in setting up and maintaining programming, electrical component and schematics standards-Assist in proper maintenance of all programming software and application files and programming hardware (robotic related)-Completion of all required work orders and associated paperwork-Participate in pre-launch activities-Participate in continuous improvement-Perform other duties as assigned Knowledge and Education Graduate of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology (Robot and Automation Program) and/or Provincial Electrician (442A or 309A) or Millwright (443A) ticket or equivalent required
– Minimum of 5 years’ experience with automated equipment required Work Experience -Previous experience in Mould process an asset-Strong knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs and HMI programming an asset-Knowledge of various networks, (Ethernet, DH, RIO, DeviceNet, ControlNet, Modbus2, RS232) an asset-Fanuc and Sepro Robotic experience required-Experience performing electrical/electronic troubleshooting of equipment-Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written)-Must be capable of interpreting electrical schematics-Demonstrated skill in technical documentation-Understanding of process requirements and the ability to troubleshoot process issues-Must be computer literate with MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.)-Must be results and team oriented-Must be safety conscious and reliable Additional Information Magna will offer you great benefits and advancement opportunities including:Polycon offers excellent health, dental, vision and life insurance is available to all full-time employees along with a proactive wellness program, including an on-site workout facility and cafeteria.
