Assumption Life: Junior Qa Tester

Assumption Life

This is a Full-time position in Moncton, NB posted April 3, 2021.

Reporting to the Test Manager, the Junior QA Tester will participate in the establishment of testing requirements for assigned projects and technologies.

With your excellent knowledge of QA best practices, you will be responsible for testing software in order to detect defects and problems.

You will perform various tests to ensure that the software meets all standards and guidelines on several platforms and that it is ready to be launched to Assumption Life clients.

Since you will be interacting with several departments within the company, you should have strong interpersonal skills.

To ensure success in this role, you will need to maintain knowledge of business and IT/project processes.

You may also be asked to get involved in any other relevant projects requiring your level of expertise.

Your main responsibilities: Find and report problems or design defects Build (or help build) and maintain regression test plans for each product and interface Create new test cases when new software/feature is being developed Report any missing test cases in a test plan and ensure they are added Execute test cases on new software and applications Log defects, report bugs and errors to development teams Assist with problem resolution and replication Perform post release/implementation testing (smoke tests) Actively participate in sprint retrospectives to improve the team, agile and QA processes Ensure traceability throughout the QA process Your qualifications and skills: Post secondary degree in a related field 1-2 years experience as a Junior QA Tester or similar role Experience with testing methodologies Excellent communication skills Strong organizational skills Attention to detail Analytical and problem solving skills Strong ability to document and resolve errors What we offer you: The chance to be part of a dynamic and high-performing team that adheres to the following values: leadership, collaboration, trust and commitment.
