The Area Vice President
– Velocity Sales is responsible to lead the Velocity Sales Associate (VSA) program as part of the Networked Care team.
The Area Vice President operates as the Networked Care liaison to the Velocity Sales Associates embedded in each of the regional teams, responsible for driving profitable growth & market share, greater visibility, funnel opportunity creation, while further developing and steering the overall VSA initiative.
Key Responsibilities: Leadership & People Excellence: Functional Leadership of VSA team
– providing continuous coaching in a high performance team culture that exceeds sales and opportunity funnel targets Leading the VSA team in the sales support of the deals identified by the team Actively expand and fine tune targeted white space areas for the VSA team to target with their activities Assesses technical/sales/professional developmental needs of VSAs and coordinates their systematic professional development Ensures active bi-directional participation and engagement of VSAs in regional teams in daily region business execution.
Strategic, Clinical/Business Partner to the Regions and the Networked Care space: Demonstrates a high degree of understanding of market dynamics, opportunities and risks.
Provides excellence in win/loss reporting, trending, and solution development for future deals.
Understand market segmentation and development of targeted priorities in the ambulatory spaces targeted by the Networked Care Initiative.
Creates transparency to forecast and achievement of Networked Care goals / MBOs Provides support for must-win Networked Care deals Collaborates on customer account strategy with RVPs, AEs, SCA Manager, Federal Account Managers, and Service teams Responsible for climbing the customer ladder to help drive customer satisfaction Required Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience 3 years of experience selling capital equipment into hospitals Demonstrates advance understanding and application of management approaches for work direction, motivation, and performance management.
Demonstrates and applies advanced knowledge of strategic planning, cross-functional business practices, and operating procedures for a major functional area Leadership experience in major Healthcare Imaging organization, in both sales and product management strongly preferred.
Additional Requirements Strong analytical skills and understanding of strategic business goals.
Proven track record in driving, developing and mentoring high performance teams.
Strong work ethic and commitment.
Demonstrated ability to form relationships and collaborate with senior management in field sales organization & NAM headquarters.
