Applications Cloud Operations Manager Position Summary Reporting to the Senior Manager, Cloud Operations, the Applications Cloud Operations Manager is responsible for delivering the day to day monitoring and maintenance of cloud and on-premise operations, including managing all aspects of the application environment in order to meet current and future application demand.

What you will be doing: Executes the day to day delivery for cloud/on-premises application operations activities including maintenance (daily checks, minor fixes or changes), upgrades/patches, preventative maintenance, optimization and lifecycle management (including decommissioning) to be able to provide stable and reliable technology solutionsDelivers the design and development of application enhancements using the Cloud operations pillars methodologies, tools and best practices framework to achieve the quality standards consistently Prepares and provides support in implementing, testing and integrating new applications to ensure stability Delivers tier 2 application support and supports tier 3 application support when required and escalates as necessary to ensure that issues are resolved in a timely mannerSupports the management of Technology assets through lifecycle from request to decommissioning to ensure reporting and tracking accuracySupports the change and release management process including defining release strategy & activities for change projects, service readiness & acceptance and service transitionDevelops and tests the failure response, disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure adequate recovery time in order to minimize any disruptionsIdentifies, assesses and communicates cloud/on-premises operational risks and supports the development of recommendations outlining how to reduce any risk exposureMaintains and updates key process and procedures documentation pertaining to cloud operations to ensure that collateral is kept up to date and utilized by new joiners to enable business continuity What we’re looking for: Post-secondary degree, preferably in information systems, business administration and/or a project management discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experienceExperience managing and maintaining both on-premise and cloud application environments6+ years of experience in progressively advancing roles within Technology 4+ years of experience in cloud/on-premises operations/application operations in a fast-paced enterprise environment 5+ years in PeopleSoft Finance and HR systems development and support5+ years in Datastage & ETL development2+ years Cloud Solutions including Azure Environments 2+ years in Vendor Management1+ year O365 SharePoint development Primary knowledge of:Technical TroubleshootingApplication Operation and Health MonitoringCloud Resource ManagementPeopleSoftPeopleTools.Net and MVC development standards knowledge Technology Systems ManagementApplication Delivery ProcessApplication Software ImplementationApplication MaintenanceSoftware Installation and SupportSoftware DistributionE-Mail AdministrationWeb AdministrationDirectory Service AdministrationMobile Social ApplicationsComputer Network Defense Secondary knowledge of:PC/Workstation SoftwarePerformance Measurement and TuningData GovernanceSystem and Technology IntegrationMiddlewareInformation ManagementData AdministrationData WarehousingData Movement ToolsRepository ToolsDatabase StructuresContent ManagementQuery and Database Access ToolsObject Relational Database Systems (ORDMS)Relational DatabasesBig Data Management and AnalyticsDocument Management What we offer: Competitive salary, benefits, defined benefit pension plan and variable pay program Extensive training and professional development programs Generous leave plans Flexible work environment Exclusive employee perks Get involved with Bet on Green Program to help reduce OLG’s environmental impact Support OLG Charities including Federated Health Campaign, United Way Campaign and other fundraising efforts for local charities Plus, you’ll contribute to the transformation of lottery and gaming in Ontario through OLG’s business transformation initiative.
