Analyst, Integrator of Solutions

This position has a work week of 35 hours from Monday to Friday with occasional evenings and weekends required.

Your role at Bishop’s University:

Reporting to the Manager of IT Business Solutions, you will be responsible to analyze business needs, to coordinate implementation projects, and to integrate and support the University’s information systems. Specifically, your daily routine will consist of:

  • Discover, organize, and clarify business needs;
  • Analyze requests from users and formalize objectives, scope, and expectations and apply appropriate actions and/or recommend course of action;
  • Translate user needs to solution requirements for call for tenders;
  • Analyze, plan and participate in the development of new solution components or to improve / transform existing ones;
  • Identify and negotiate schedules, milestones and resources required to meet project objectives;
  • Build, review and evaluate project plans, schedules and budgets for software implementation;
  • Coordinate actions of others related to implementation and integration projects to ensure their successful delivery in quality and in time;
  • Contribute to Bishop’s IT evolution by tracking emerging technologies to determine their maturity and applicability to the University, recommending their introduction and/or training sessions when applicable;
  • Liaise with the infrastructure team regarding the management of the database management systems or the method of authentication for applications;
  • Provide support to the ITS client services team.

Education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or equivalent experience;
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a business or functional analyst;
  • Any combination of education and experience will be considered;
  • Experience in building interfaces between enterprise systems;
  • Experience in IT project coordination.

Expertise:

  • Fluent knowledge of English and working knowledge of French;
  • Proficient in SQL querying and working with large amounts of data;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SSRS and SSIS an asset;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform an asset.
