Province of Quebec (Telework – Remote)

Summary:

You like to work from the comfort of your home but sometimes you need change and adrenaline. This position gives you the best of both worlds.

Reporting to the Regional Director of Post-traumatic Support Services, you will respond to calls from clients requiring support following a traumatic event, plan post-traumatic interventions and be in charge of administrative procedures. You will also travel to the scene to provide debriefing, defusing or support type interventions following a massive layoff or restructuring when necessary.

Your responsibilities will be :

  • Perform a preliminary assessment of the situation in the workplace, and offer coaching and support to managers;
  • Implement post-traumatic intervention by interacting with internal and external clients and affiliated professionals;
  • Provide supervision and consultation to stakeholders when requested;
  • Manage the administrative needs of trauma support services;
  • Occasionally travel to the scene to provide debriefing, defusing or support interventions following a massive layoff or restructuring.

Required profile :

  • Masters/PhD in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work or Psychoeducation;
  • Member in good standing of the regional professional order corresponding to your university degree;
  • Bilingualism (English/French) spoken and written is mandatory (an asset);
  • Minimum of three years of clinical experience;
  • Training in stress management in crisis situations (CISM) and/or certification in EMDR;
  • Crisis management skills and ability to provide solutions to clients;
  • Excellent ability with group interventions and oral communication;
  • Good knowledge of different work environments and organizational environments;
  • Understanding of organizational structures and human resources;
  • Demonstrate sensitivity, professionalism and productivity when dealing with organizational clients;
  • Must be able to work weekday shifts between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m.;
  • Ability to be creative and flexible in unforeseen and unusual situations.
