Advisor, Demand Generation and Marketing Automation – 12-18-month contract

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES The Advisor, Demand Generation and Marketing Automation, is responsible for the overall alignment between sales and marketing.

He/she establishes the processes and models to supply the VBC sales pipeline with high-quality prospects or clients identified through the lead capture, nurturing, scoring and routing processes and programs.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
– Define, implement and optimize demand generation and lead management components, such as lead lifecycle definition, scoring models and process integration.

– Monitor and improve the efficiency of the marketing automation portion of the sales pipeline.

– Design and coordinate the development and launch of effective programs or campaigns (acquisition, retention or repeat) for clients Small and steady that support the lead management strategy and align with business objectives, aiming to keep BDC top of mind among entrepreneurs and convert them
– Ensure that the lead prioritization model (lead scoring model) is continuously refined based on analytics and performance measurement to exceed marketing objectives.

– Ensure lead routing and distribution flow by developing models that identify and assign leads effectively.

Continuously improve the models to ensure consistent hand-off between marketing and sales.

– Act as a champion for marketing automation sales tools, ensuring they are optimally used in the field; provide training material and facilitate learning sessions as needed.

Collect feedback from employees in the field and continuously improve the marketing team’s offering.

– Act as an expert user of marketing automation technology (e.g., Oracle Eloqua Marketing Cloud) and Client Relationship Management technology by leveraging best practices and mastering advanced features.

– Coordinate with the marketing content team to develop messages for Account Manager or topics designed to support demand generation priorities.

PREFERRED EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
– Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related discipline
– Five to seven years of experience in marketing or marketing-focused projects
– Experience in email campaign management, lead management and marketing automation
– Experience in financial services, marketing or technology/management consulting organizations is an asset
– Experience driving the delivery of initiatives where multiple specialists are involved and not reporting to the same team
– Strong marketing acumen and a solid understanding of the position of marketing automation and lead management within the organization
– Knowledge of Oracle Eloqua Marketing Cloud, SAP Marketing Cloud and Microsoft Dynamics CRM are an asset
– Ability to work under pressure and to organize work within deadlines
– Ability to work with sales development teams to understand issues, solve them, and implement changes that increase technology adoption and sales
– Data analysis skills and attention to detail in the context of lead conversion and management
– Excellent business acumen with a dedication to delivering a client-centric experience
– Superior command of Microsoft Excel (e.g.: worksheet links, array formulas, no VBA), PowerPoint (e.g.: slide masters), Word (e.g.: styles) and Visio (e.g.: BPMN 2.0 basics)
