5G Layer 2 Software Developer


This is a Contract position in Smiths Falls, ON posted June 4, 2021.

5G Layer 2 Software Developer Competitive salary Remote until our facilities open in Ottawa Dell is looking for a Layer 2 Software Developer to take part in a once in a career opportunity to be part of building something from scratch and shepherd it into the marketplace.

The 5G Layer 2 Software Developer will be a key member of a brand new, built from the ground up R&D team.

The team will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing a technology new to Dell for addressing the demands of the 5G Radio subsystem for operators and to help our customers to exploit this significant market evolution.

The candidate for this role will have experience in a development role in a 4G/5G development organization .

Key Responsibilities Implement and test key Layer 2 features, algorithms and integrate them with the CU and RU and other features in the DU Capture agreements in a design document that will drive the implementation of the D U & other L2 SW Hold reviews to get closure in order to finalize the D U design document & L2 Functionality in other system elements Implement functional areas of the D U & other L2 SW , per the implementation plan Work closely with the verification group to ensure the completeness, quality and performance of the implemented Layer 2 functionality Essential Requirements Experience in a 4G/5G development team Knowledge of 3G PP and ORAN standards and interfaces Organized, goal-oriented , self
