Posting Number: 19ST19 Position Title: SharePoint Developer (Senior Systems Analyst) Department: Information Technology Services: Business Application Services Campus/Location: Burnaby campus Employee Group: Faculty and Staff Association Job Status: Regular Anticipated Start Date: 02-16-2019 Anticipated End Date: Job Summary/Basic Function: BCIT Information Technology Services Department is seeking a regular, full-time SharePoint Developer (Senior Systems Analyst).

In your role as a SharePoint Developer, you will develop applications that integrate with Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Office and work with other members of the development team in pursuit of best practices and technologies.

You have experience developing solutions with the SharePoint Framework
– both for on-premises and SharePoint Online, and are comfortable designing and building software for a variety of customers using Microsoft O365 technologies.

As a member of our Business Application Services team, you will contribute to the continual improvement of the development process and team culture, and stay informed of advances in interactive techniques, technologies and methods.

Minimum Qualifications: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum two-year diploma in Computer Systems or bachelor’s degree in communications, science, business; and minimum six years of current, practical experience, of which at least four demonstrate SharePoint development experience, preferably in an educational setting.

An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Must have demonstrated specific current IT knowledge.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet changing priorities and multi-task while meeting strict deadlines.

High level of professionalism and ethics.

QUALIFICATION SPECIFICS: Extensive experience (3 years) designing and supporting SharePoint solutions using common out-of-the-box functionality.

Experience developing custom solutions for SharePoint using the SharePoint API, web parts web services, workflows, site collections and SharePoint Object Model.

Strong understanding and working knowledge of ASP.NET, Web API 2, C#, OData, PowerShell, SQL, Software Design Patterns and debugging techniques.

Experience with source control management systems, continuous integration, and deployment environments.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Excellent understanding of and adherence to process documentation.

Experience working on SharePoint installations for large and complex organizations.

EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING WOULD BE AN ASSET: Information architecture and user experience design principles.

SharePoint administration.

JIRA and Git/Stash.
